Mission: Into the Blue
Location: USS Bowfin

Lieutenant Fernando Lopez stepped into the USS Bowfin that was currently docked at Starbase 58 with several of the Enlisted personnel that was getting transferred on board. The Defiant class ship was a thing of beautiful, which he was looking forward to flying. Finding himself in front of the quartermaster, who gave him room assignment and PADD of what he would need to get to the next few days. The Federation was just a few months removed from the war with the Dominion. Aide was being given to Cardassia which had been bombarded within the last few hours of the war. Honestly, he felt that the Federation should be focusing resources on the worlds that the Cardassian's helped the Dominion lay waste to. But clearly there was a political aspect to the whole thing. And politics was something that he honestly couldn't stand.

Moving down the corridor, he stepped into the turbolift. Going from Starbase Pegasus to the Bowfin was going to take a lot of getting used to. Going from a lot of room and thousands of personnel around to a ship with four decks and fifty people was going to be one hell of a change. But on a positive note, the Lieutenant would be familiar with everyone on board. A doors opened as he stepped out on Deck 1. Stepping out quickly spotted his quarters. Entering the code on the door, he walked into his quarters. It was definitely smaller than where he lives on Starbase Pegasus, but this ship is definitely where he wanted and needed to be.

Placing his bag on the floor, Fernando sat at the desk. After the war, he had decided to take the advice from Lt. Commander Kenneth Hunt advised the young man to take really good look at the direction he wanted for his career. Eventually he wanted to a command of his own. Lieutenant Lopez career was at a fast pace and there were several people in leadership who taken a liken to him. In all honesty, he barely got into the Academy, yet he continued to thrive with his unconventional ways. But there was only so far that he could get with being liked and unconventional. A month ago, Fernando had signed up for correspondence courses in order to eventually move into the operations field.

It was definitely time for a change. The war was over, and he planned for his future. Only thing now was to stick with the plan and eventually convince someone to make him their first officer. On the inside, Fernando chuckled briefly. But while trying to meet those goals, who's to say that he can't have fun on the way to meeting those goals.
